We were disgusted with huge crowd last year, but we went to the hot spring on the second Golden Week. I'm envious because I haven't gone to a real hot spring for ages. Ion says "I never have special holidays, so I hanker for it.", but I (one of working poor) think it's no better than anything if you can let everyday a holiday.
